About the book
Umm Salamah was one of the Mothers of the Believers, a scholar, a counselor to the Prophet ﷺ, and one of the most prolific women narrators of hadith.
This book follows her from the migration to Abyssinia to her marriage into the household of the Prophet ﷺ, and gathers forty of her narrations on prayer, purification, fasting, justice, family life, and the Qur'an. Each hadith is given with its source in the major collections and closes with a reflection.
It is a welcome addition to the tradition of Forty Hadith collections, written by a woman about one of the most distinguished women in Islamic history. Women and men will both find in it a source of inspiration.

Who was Umm Salamah?
Umm Salamah, Hind bint Abi Umayyah of the tribe of Banū Makhzūm, was among the earliest women to accept Islam. She migrated first to Abyssinia and later to Madinah, and became one of the Mothers of the Believers.
She is remembered as one of the most learned of the Prophet's ﷺ wives and one of the most prolific women narrators of hadith. As the last surviving wife of the Prophet ﷺ, she passed away around 61 AH and served for nearly fifty years as a living link to his teachings.
